I begin my process with a tinfoil skeleton. This is where the proportions are established. I use a polymer clay (oven-baked) for the head and hands, then I will use an air-hardening clay for the footwear once the polymer clay parts have been fixed to the tinfoil. I then use an art-grade canvas to wrap the sculpture and work in the shapes for the clothes. At this point I will prime the entire sculpture and base, then begin the final part of the process which is the detail painting.
